Rev Z:
wow...that is so totally cool!!!
PS: the Fourth is my b'day. Used to be I was afraid to leave the house, because it was a total freaky free-for-all in NYC. Living near Chinatown, where everyone bought their fireworks, resulted in a multimedia experience which I imagine was much like the bombing of Dresden-- for pretty much the whole weekend at least.
But our last two illustrious mayors have pretty much eliminated all this, and that's just fine by me. It was so quiet that I even fell asleep before watching the Macy's fireworks on TV. So thanks for yours!
Thanks Elvira! Amazing what you can find with a little searching, thank god for freebies. Thanks for sharing, I can understand why you wouldn't be big on noise. As a military kid the 4th was probably the biggest day of the year, it certainly was for me back then... huge base-wide doings with food and games. I was pretty good at the pie-eating contest, I never won but that wasn't the point.
I think I could have done 62 when I was 12... I could eat anyone under the table back then and, "as skinny as a rail". What is it with the skinny guys being able to pound the food down?
