I finally got approved for medicaid so next week I'm getting glasses and going to the dentist. I'm glad but I'm not looking forward to it.

I was 34 years old, couldn't handle the visit to the dentist so well, but they convinced me to come in for a chipped back tooth. They made me feel all better with the bubble gum scented gas :)

When I got my tooth pulled recently they just shot me full of novocaine and I had to watch and hear the dentist chisel the tooth out of my jaw.

You're bringing back some wild memories with that last response. Yes, I loved the bubble gum scented gas, but I didn't enjoy the nurse placing her hand gently on my forehead while the dentist pulled and tugged on that tooth..lol. Good thing I was too the point that I didn't care.

Rev - I think chose to knock me out cuz the wisdom tooth wasn't poking thru the gum line, it was pushing forward on the tooth in front of it at an angle and they had to cut into the gum just to get at it. It was a very pleasant "sleep"...
