Dark Jinn

A mini story by S.E.Estes

Like releasing a whirlwind the jinn broke from his dark prison. Wreathed in violence he commanded his master to wish. He'd had the bottle long enough to consider his wishes carefully, he would not let this unrestrained force turn his boon against him. "I wish for happiness and fulfillment forever." "Thrice done." Once again his curiosity had gotten the best of him, impatient to see if the bottle truly did hold the creature of tales he hadn't been careful enough. He considered what he wanted and he considered a jinn's destructive tricks but he hadn't carefully considered his wording. Eternal happiness and eternal fulfillment at the expense of no one should have been his three but he said "forever" and there were no more wishes left.

Jinn are storms, creatures of violence who, when given the chance, will add destruction to the gifts they give. So it is for the curious one, so it always will be.

Thanks to an earlier comment by Miss Hobby and the great art of Stan Wisniewski for the inspiration.

I left my comment then you posted a small story concerning "be careful what you wish for" :)

I enjoy reading your posts and I visit often. Your blog is different from others. More into your mind and emotions with very few words. Of course, without knowin you, I'm probably readin more into each post, but I still find it very enjoyable.

Thank YOU for posting. This is exactly what I needed.
